Job Description

a) Ensuring the smooth running of company information system, including ERP System, Security software, Network (LAN/WAN) services and email provision;
b) Scheduling and supervising system upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems;
c) Ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to
d) Evaluating user needs and system functionality and ensuring that SAPG facilities meet these needs;
e) Planning, developing and implementing the SAPG IT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness;
f) Designing, implementing and verifying Data backup and recovery strategies;
g) Ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack;
h) Providing users with appropriate support and advice;
i) Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems;
j) Mentoring and training new SAPG Technical and Support staff;
k) Meeting with other Department Heads and Manager to discuss new system requirements and improvements.
l) Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Must be atleast a Masters in Computer Sciences/Information Technology with MCSE/CCNA certification?
• Should have atleast 5years of system administration experience in UAE.
• Sound Working knowledge on the following fronts are a must:
1. Trouble Shooting
2. VPN/Citrix/LAN/Sonicwall/Cisco Routers/HP Switches/VLANs/Wireless Gateway/Access Points.
3. Windows Servers 2012/2008 R2 DHCP/DNS Active Directory/MS Exchange/Symantec Enterprise Vault/Backup Exec/V-Ray/Veem
4. Avaya IP Systems/VOIP.
5. Symantec Backup Solution
6. Network security and Anti-virus Management
7. SQL server Database installation and administration , backup and restore
8. ERP Systems especially in Microsoft Dynamic AX 2009 / 2012
9. Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail POS
10. Manageable skill in PL/SQL
11. Server Hardware HP/IBM/Compaq, HP/IBM SANs /Backup Tape Drivers/Libraries
12. Hypervisors , Hyper V 2012 / VMWARE
